Koh Bida Nai is the little sister of Koh Bida Nok located south of koh Phi Phi, this little island is inhabited only by swallows and sea eagles and is a well known dive site for the diversity of marine life.
On the east side, a drop off with sandy bottom between 7 and 25 meters is reachable from beginners to experienced divers. You can admire the richness of Andaman Sea: Trigger fish, Angel fish, Emperor fish, Parrot fish, Lion fish, Morray eels, zebra Sharks (leopard). At the South of the island - for experienced divers - you find 3 pinnacles, indicated by a buoy. There, between the two islands, bottom reaches 30 meters. This area is less popular and full of life: Razor fish, Mantis shrimps, prawns, nudibranches, Fimbrated morray eels, turtles...
The West side of the island is less visited. It's a drift dive north/south or south/north depending on tides. The south part is a wall covered with sea fans and soft corals. Cracks in the wall hide a lot of surprises : sea horses, different kinds of morray eels, nudibranches. If you look in the blue, schools of tuna and trevallies are hunting at the north point. If you're lucky, whale sharks are spotted around the island at any time of the year.
On the sandy bottom, you can encounter resting zebra sharks.
This dive site is well known and crowdy. Boats from Phi Phi and Phuket come here every day. The best way to enjoy Koh Bida Nai, is to schedule it on a liveaboard. You'll be the first one on the dive site...
